Welcome to Green Living Gardening where my aim is to help you to garden in harmony with nature. This isn’t just about organic gardening – it goes much deeper than that. I believe that gardeners have a duty to look after the animals, plants and other wildlife that share our gardens and the planet we live on.

In order to do this we need to make our gardens as wildlife friendly as we possibly can whilst not forgetting that gardens are also for humans. If we bring some of the ideas and principles of green living and sustainability into the garden by adapting the ways in which we garden, then I believe our efforts will help to combat the damaging effects of climate change that are already having a huge impact on our environment and the wildlife that we share our planet with.

We might feel that as an individual there is little we can do about climate change and environmental damage. But if we try to make our gardening practices greener and more sustainable then collectively we can make a real difference – and I believe this is really worthwhile. And it isn’t difficult. Small changes to what we do in the garden can have massive impacts and that is what this site is all about. I hope you will join me in making our gardens greener and our planet more sustainable.
